Let’s make Christmas brighter by donating to It’s in the Bag

It’s in the Bag is one of Australia’s most loved Christmas appeals that encourages us to fill bags with essential items, and even some little luxuries, for women and girls in need.

Following our International Women’s Day event in March, Baumgartners will continue to support Share the Dignity by taking part in It’s in the Bag throughout November. Our International Women’s Day Committee members are proud to be coordinating our firm’s involvement in this important cause.

Here’s how you can get involved:

• Drop off your donation: Our Melbourne office is hosting a collection point from 18-24 November 2022. Baumgartners is located at Level 1, 35 Cotham Rd, Kew 3101. Bags can also be dropped directly to Bunnings. And it’s not just bags! Please consider donating essential items along with handbags (filled or empty) as we will happily pack and fill them for the donation drive. See the full list here »
• Donate online via the Baumgartners fundraising page. Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible in Australia and receipts will be emailed to donors directly from Share the Dignity.

Baumgartner Super Audit Manager and Committee member Sarah Scales spoke earlier this year about the overwhelming support received for Share the Dignity from both our team and clients.

“Each dignity drive has coincided with major flooding throughout the country. This has caused much financial hardship — something we consider a necessity all of a sudden has become a luxury. We hope our contributions will again be able to help women and girls in need,” said Sarah.

Baumgartners were blown away by the product and cash donations received for Share the Dignity in March and hope to exceed that generosity in November. Read the full article here »

Please consider helping us support the women, girls and those who menstruate, who may be waking up in a domestic violence refuge or homeless shelter, to feel a little bit of love and hope this Christmas.
