David Baumgartner is Director and founder of Baumgartner Super.
Having developed a solid accounting background at Ernst & Young and Bourne Griffiths Boyd, David identified an opportunity to develop a unique business model based on the traditional concept of successful business relationships, built on trust. From that opportunity grew Baumgartners, an accounting firm with a reputation for strong technical abilities and unwavering values. David’s exposure to the cutting edge of superannuation early in his career meant it was only natural that his own firm would develop capabilities in self managed superannuation that would be sought after by his accounting colleagues.
From there, the establishment and growth of Baumgartner Super was the natural progression and David is proud that the firm has been able to provide services to over 400 accountants and financial planners Australia wide.
David is focused on the continued development of the self managed superannuation industry as well as the broader accounting profession and there is nothing he enjoys more than talking with advisers throughout Australia about the future of financial advice in this country and the role of superannuation and retirement savings.
David has a keen interest in the development of the community at large. As such, David's community activities have included being Treasurer of both The Old Trinity Grammarians and Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens, President of the YMCA Aquarena, a member of the Manningham Council Open Spaces advisory committee and a coach at Templestowe Auskick. David also has a passion for life, family and good wines.
